Who is sick and tired of wrestling bashers saying "its fake"?

well DUH! thats common knowledge to any wrestling fan! thats why they call it "sports entertainment"..these people preach that wrestling is fake, well do they even know how the general public found out it was fake? Vince McMahon told them thats why! In fact, he coined the term "Sports Entertainment". We don't watch wrestling because we think its real but because we want to be entertained. And let me tell you...wrestlers go through a lot more than UFC fighters who fight every couple of months. Not that i don't like UFC. But a wrestlers life is much more difficult. These people seem to think that wrestlers are pansies but the truth is when they see any wrestler they don't have the guts to say that to their faces.

its the same old story they keep saying its fake and boring and they don't like or watch it but they seem to know whats going on in every show and whats happening with every wrestler

Reply:everyone has known wrestling is fake since it came out back in the 80's. Didn't take McMahon saying it for people to realize it.



Look at the old 80's clips and you will even see the fake blood sacks, etc.



Wrestling improves your life and career how? It doesn't....so who cares.....its just a man's soap opera any how.

Reply:Get real. Of course we don't have the guts to say it to their faces. They're freakish monsters. Yes, they're actors and excellent athletes and they go through a lot and yada yada yada. Who in their right mind would want to pay for a show when you know all the screaming and yelling and even the match is fake. Sorry, I forgot Jerry Springer is rich too. No accounting for taste.

Reply:I dated a man that was a wrestler years ago(he still is a very well know wrestler) and I know most not all of it is fake.The same guys he would wrestle on Friday nights back then would go out to dinner on Saturday with us!

Reply:well...... for one thing wrestling isnt fake it is scripted. they know going in who will win and who will lose. they have learned to fall and perform their moves without injury. it is exactly that entertainment. who puts on the best show for the fans..

Reply:Those remarks used to bother me too but since I've heard them so often they don't phase me anymore. I just ignore them while I continue to enjoy wrestling.

Yeah there is a name for these wrestling programmes which is 'sports entertainment' but i doubt the fact that MNR is sports entertainment, it doesnt entertain me at all. If i want to be entertained, id rather watch the news than MNR. It is getting quite annoying though. Have a nice day.

Reply:OMG I am SO sick of people saying it's fake. I've just stopped trying to justify "sports entertainment" to small-minded jerks. So what if they already know who's going to win the match? Saying wrestling's "fake" (rather than saying it's pre-determined) is like saying acting's fake.

Football's got so many timeouts, it's boring as ****. I don't care who has what down or how many downs equal whatever. Guys that watch NASCAR, saying wrestling is "fake". Yeah, those races are a blast to watch. The only thing remotely exciting is if someone has an accident. (I'm not sayng that's a good thing) Even if wrestling is scripted, at least guys like Rey Misterio and Kurt Angle will always deliver a good show. To each their own.

I don't that WWE wrestlers go through more than UFC fighters though, since the UFC people actually hit each other.

Reply:your exactly right i've only been watching wrestling for 2 1/2 years and i know its fake/scripted but i dont care it entertains me and makes me laugh/smile and that whats good about it...
