What is the best way to tell my family my atrocious score on my AP test?

Okay i got my AP scores back like 3 weeks ago but I'm such a pansy that I didn't look at them until today. And I've been stalling all this time telling my parents+bro that I didnt get them yet. But I looked at the score today and I got a 2 on AP Bio. Totally unexpected. I am in shock.

What is the best way to tell my family this without getting in trouble or for them to take it easier on me when I do? Please help, I'm so depressed =[

What is the best way to tell my family my atrocious score on my AP test?
AP scores aren't the biggest deal, just explain to them that you tried your hardest and let them know that these aren't SAT's or anything...I know it seems hard, but just doing it will take so much pressure off of you, even if they're upset, just know that after you tell them, they will begin to accept it and it isn't the end of the World or anything.

Good Luck and sorry I couldn't be more help

Hang in there though, life is full of unexpected surprises and twists...and the only person you need to satisfy is yourself...and if you know that you did your best, that's all you can do, right?

Reply:Just tell them the truth... Tell them you tried, but on the test day maybe you were having a bad day, didn't feel well, or just plain did not expect some of the questions. You can also let them know that you were also disappointed and were afraid to let them down, but you feel that they deserve the truth. Don't worry, they will be disappointed that the test scores did not reflect your intelligence and hard work, but they will not be disappointed in you. They will still love you!!!

**Tell them NOW, you will feel sooo much better getting this off of your chest.
Reply:At some point you are going to have to face up to this and the sooner you do the better.

The best thing to do is to start with your mother and hand her the test scores, while saying; "I am sorry, I thought I had done better."

Are you going to get chewed out and yelled yet? Probably, you already know the answer better than I do, but it is going to happen no matter what you do, you are only postponing it. The pain will come so get it over with.
Reply:the AP score doesn't matter in my opinion... just think how much easier bio 101 will be and that will def. boost your GPA and i think your parents would rather you have a high GPA so you get to keep all of your scholarships!
Reply:I actually got a 3 on the AP Bio exam!!! I know it sounds horrible since I barely just passed, but if you knew about my work ethic and how much time I spend on school, you'd be surprised.

Anyway, you can try telling them what I did when I got a 1 on the AP World History Exam. The teacher can't teach worth crap, so pretty much everyone failed. Which in my case was somewhat true. Plus, if you have some good news to show them, do that right after to lighten your failure. Thanks for making me feel better about my grade and good luck.
Reply:AP tests are evil. I don't blame you for getting a 2. I was so sick of mine i put the pen down with 20 minutes left when i wasnt even finished with my last essay and flat out just refused to write anymore

They really shouldn't get mad at you for the results, but if they do, calmly explain that they make the tests really difficult, And its not even as if you are in college yet. Its nothing being counted against you.

and heck, if you're using words like 'atrocious' on yahoo answers, i say you'll do just fine in college, with or without AP credit

Good luck =)
