Pansies in the summer?

i just planted pansies yesterday, will they bloom through the summer?

i'm in zone 7.

Pansies in the summer?
Pansies and Johnny Jump ups are cool season flowers they do best in cooler temperature's like spring and fall they will flower in the summer but due to the heat they could go dormant until the cooler weather in the fall comes back.
Reply:Pansies bloom best in spring, next best autumn, next best warm winter and they don't flower in summer as they like cool conditions.Plant your pansies in cool shade and keep moist and they might last til July
Reply:usually they will bloom really good until it gets really hot, then blooms slow down quite a bit, then they will come back well in the fall when the weather gets cool again.
