Ok so the other day me and my girl friend were walking down the street and this drunk gay guy yells at me and tells me to get outta the way or hes gonna freakin beath the living day lights out of me..i didnt say nothing i just complied with his orders...but my GF didnt she started swearing at him and they were going back and forth but I did nothin but stand in the back like a dog with his tail between his legs. my gf then turned to me and said "arent you gonna say anything", but i acted like i couldnt hear her. Then again my GF is pretty intimidating she is 6'3 im like 5'5 and the drunk was like my height and really skinny but pretty feisty..So what im trying to ask is Does this make me a pansy? Do i loose my man Card!? ive been sleepless for the past week and a half and i dont knw where else to turn plz help and be honest!

Does this make me a pansy???! help me my life is spinning outta control!!?
i wouldnt worry about it unless your girlfriend is really kicking up a fuss about you not backing her up but to be honest there is not much point in starting an arguement with someone drunk because it leads no where but a fight. X
Reply:Its normally best not to bother the drunk homeless but since your gf initiated an arguement maybe you should have said something... might have to do something else to become higher in her eyes.. pay a guy to hit on her then *beat him up*
Reply:It means you were frightened and unwilling to react to violent behavior. It's not abnormal, not bad, you just felt a physical and emotional reaction to your fear, which is to be expected. Accept it and be honest with yourself about it and you can move on.

You obviously are not happy with how you reacted this time, but take a minute to consider if you would really prefer to do have done something different. Would you have "stood up to him" and started being violent or belligerent like some angry monkey? Would you prefer to have done more to avoid the situation like leaving the area more quickly? Would you rather have done something else like reason with him, ask him to explain his behavior?

Any of these could have been other options; think for yourself and determine what you would rather have done, then accept that instead you experienced something else, reacted differently and give yourself a break about it. It's not that big a deal and if your girlfriend disagrees you can ask her why she felt the need to get so upset and act how she did (I kind of wonder what her issue is, honestly).

Once you can do that, maybe you could seriously consider what you would rather do if such a situation comes up again. And I mean honestly what you personally want to do if something like this comes up again, not what you think our culture expects you to do, not what you think society or your girlfriend wants. What *you* honestly would prefer to do in that situation that upholds the things you value.

That or buy a gun and start killing innocent bystanders while firing shots at unhappy people who just happened to have shouted idiotic things at you for no good reason. That's an option too, but that would be the most stupid one to choose.
Reply:AHAHAHAHHAHAAH what a JOKE u ppl need to read the rest of his questions ahahha well in this one i think ur being serrous but yeah you lost ur man card and dignity you should of stood up to your girl and said why fight a dumb drunk its stupid but since u didnt ur pretty much a homo like ur brothers son cousing whatever lol she is to much woman for ur ***
Reply:It takes a bigger man to leave foolishness like what confronted you then to engage in it.

You did the best thing.
