How do you say bye to your boss when you quit?

I liked working with my boss and I'm not sure how to say bye without seeming like a pansy or like I don't care. Any ideas?

How do you say bye to your boss when you quit?
Shake their hand, and say it was good to work for them. No sense in burning bridges when you go.
Reply:Just shank his/her hands and tell thanks for the opportunity for working with them and he/she will be missed
Reply:Say "It has been a pleasure working for you, I have enjoyed my time here and I wish you all the best."
Reply:Give your boss a thank you note saying it has been very nice to work with you. Take your boss aside and give this to him or her in addition make eye contact and extend your hand and shake thier hand and say I enjoyed working with you I look forward to my new venture thank you I learned a lot from you and your company. If they offer to stay in touch give an e-mail or a phone number. This way you are being friendly and kind but not overly emotional and never burn bridges you may have to cross again you may need this boss for a reference.
Reply:The sensible thing to do is speak from the heart.

Let your former boss know what it meant to you to work there. Tell of the things you learned while working there, and that you are better off for having learned them.

Saying how much you enjoyed working with someone won't be percieved as being a pansy. It most certainly won't be looked upon as you don't care. I think just the opposite. It is too easy for us to point out the negative in others. The challenge is to give positive feedback to others. That's why hardly anyone does it.

Be different. Speak out. Make a difference!

Good luck in your new endeavor....

Stevo.
Reply:I think that depends on what circumstances prompted you to quit your job. If the circumstances were good, just let him know that it was a pleasure working with him and that you would miss the Company and tell him good-bye. If the circumstances were bad, just say good-bye or not and leave the building!!!
Reply:Depends on the gender of your boss. You appear to be male from your avatar. If your boss happens to be SHE with looks, offer her an Archie (me no agent!) or any other greeting card (with special messages for every occasion), which should not carry any suggestive message, but you could always take the liberty of jotting your contact number. You never know !! If it is HE say a few nice words like `Right now though I have to quit, but in future you would like to work with him or someone like him and depart with a smile, but certainly not a plastic one, which you might have been taught to give to your clients by that boss of YOURS ! (Assuming you are quitting for betterment).
Reply:just say good bye, please don't do anything foolish. like trying to "going out with a bang" you may need that reference down the line.
Reply:Smile, blush and ask for a hug!
Reply:Tell your boss how you felt about them and working with them. Keep it simple and sincere.

Good Luck and Goddess Bless.

Also, finish with a strong handshake.
Reply:All you have to do is be sincere.
Reply:Depending if you were close and are leaving on good terms, give them a quick hug/handshake and thank them for their great leadership and all the things you have learned from them that you are sure will make you a great success in your next endeavor.
