How long do Pansies Bloom ? What growing conditons do they like?

I was fortunate to find a landscaping crew, that was dumping, yes Dumping tons of Pansies into a field near my house.

They told me I could take as many as I wanted, which resulted in me now having 30 - 40 Flats of PANSIES ;)

I have plenty of Garden beds ready for them to be planted in ,with both Full Sun, Partial shade .

Just concerned that they are primarily early spring bloomers and I will end up with plenty of Green plants by mid July and No Blooms.

If you know about Pansies and can give me any advice it would be greatly appreciated!

I live in Southern Michigan

Thanks

i don't believe this !!!!!

i just planted pansies for the first time ever a couple of weeks ago ( but don't tell anyone as it will destroy my street cred ) mines are called cats whiskers

they like good soil , plenty of drainage , and don't water them too much , sunny to partly shady is good as well

also remember to dead head them to allow new growth throughout the season

man i sound like an old git don't i , lol

all the best

Reply:I would think if you fertilize them with a food for blooming that will bloom again in the summer. but they will bloom in the fall because they like the cooler weather. But feed them to give them strength to bloom again.
Reply:I live in southern Michigan and mine bloom ALL summer long. As long as they are high breads and in topsoil they will grow and flower until mid fall.
Reply:Pansies can bloom all the way thru until frost (I'm in Canada). They are a wonderful plant which should give you a lot of joy. They like the conditions you will provide for them.
Reply:ya, they will loose their flowers soon...and have alot of nice green plants. if you are still interested, they like the partial shade better than full sun...
Reply:It drpends on the zone you are in
