Keeper Question

The Quidditch season begins in the month of November. Quidditch is played on a long oval field with three goal hoops on posts at each end. The team that scores the most points wins. There are seven players to a team: one Keeper, two Beaters, three Chasers, and a Seeker. They play with three types of balls.

The Quaffle is a bright red ball the size of a soccer ball, inert and the equivalent to the one ball used in many Muggle games, though it has a sticking charm placed on it so that it slows as it falls and to make it easier to grip. Chasers handle it, trying to throw it through one of the hoops of the opposing team, which is worth ten points. The Keeper guards his or her goal hoops. Two heavy iron balls called Bludgers fly around the field on their own trying to hit players, and the Beaters use clubs shaped like small baseball bats to defend their team or to hit the Bludgers at the opposing team. Finally, the tiny and winged Golden Snitch darts around at very high speeds and the Seeker attempts to catch it. Doing so scores 150 points and ends the game, generally winning it in the process. A player could still catch the Snitch and lose a game for their team should the opposing team lead by more than 150 points.

There are 700 ways to commit a Quidditch foul.

We're never told that Pansy is Draco's girlfriend. They seem to be dating in some sense, but nothing has officially been said to the reader (at least in the books).

We do not yet know why Dumbledore had the invisibility cloak yet. That might be told in book 7 - but it is NOT because Snape was under it the night the Potters were killed.

A Keeper in Quidditch guards the three hoops that act like soccer goals or basketball hoops. They're like a Goalie.

Hufflepuff was named for Helga Hufflepuff, one of the four Hogwarts founders. According to behindthename.com, Helga is a feminine form of the name "Helge" which is derived from old Norse and means "holy, blessed."

-yea in Half Blood Prince they are a couple.

-In the Sorcer;e Stone, when Harry gets the cloaks for Christmas the note says that the cloaks was left in "his possesion by your father" so Harry Dad left it w Dumbledore.

-a keeper is like a goalie, he guards the hoops

-hufflepuff is the last name of one of the founders, Helga Huffelpuff.
Reply:- The currency in the Harry Potter world is Galleons, Sickles and Knuts. The Galleons are gold, the Sickles are silver and the Knuts are bronze. There are twenty-nine Knuts to a Sickle and Seventeen Sickles to a Galleon.

- It is not actually stated if Draco and Pansy are dating but one would assume that they are.

- It can also be asked why was Dumbledore the one charged with giving Harry to his aunt and uncle, clearly there is some sort of connection between Dumbledore and the Potters, but this may be as simple as the fact that they were at Hogwarts and then became order members.

- A keeper in Quidditch is a goalie.

- Hufflepuff isn't a term, it is the surname to one of the four founders of Hogwarts, Helga Hufflepuff, she gave her name to one of the four houses. The Hufflepuff house represents loyality and hard work.
