Tongue Piercing Q??

Yet another tongue piercing question from me!! I have had my tongue pierced for almost 4 weeks now and it doesn't hurt at all anymore. I purchased a new barbell to get put through but the piercer said they won't change it for me, I don't know why, so now I have to change it myself. When I take out the original barbell how long does it take for the hole to close over? I took out my nose stud 3 weeks after having it done to change it and it closed immediatley and I had to get it redone!! The barbell that I have brought has plastic balls on the ends, not metal, but the barbell is alot shorter than the metal one I have in now so will I bite on it alot?? And if I do, will the balls crush?? Are barbells difficult to put through?? And will it hurt?? I know it probably won't hurt but I am a giant pansy and my nose started to bleed and hurt heaps!! Thanks for any help for my stupid questions lol!!

Tongue Piercing Q??
its so easy to put the new one in. do it from the top...its a bit easier just look in the mirror when u do it. if u cant find the hole right away, sort of trace the invisible line down the middle of ur tongue with the new barbell. it should sort of fallin or sink in when it gets to the hole (u may want to try it from the bottom too if that seems a little too difficult for u) it takes a little practice to know exactly where the hole is but ull eventually get it...and trust me it doesnt hurt lol (i even learned how to put in with no hands from the top AND from the bottom...im such a pro lol)

if u dont like the length of the new one because its shorter, then just change the balls. take the balls off of the old one and switch them with the balls of the new one. u dont even have to take the barbell out to do this. just take off the top ball and replace it...then do the same thing for the bottom. thats what i did when i first switched mine because the longer one that they use to pierce u with (for the swelling) is alot more comfortable to me than the shorter ones (im still wearing the longer one now....and its been 3 years since ive had it heehee). the short ones feel like its too tight on my tongue.

and no...it doesnt not crush the ball when u accidently bite plastic ones. and it doesnt really hurt either...but when u bite metal ball...it hurts like hell...trust me...ive biten both before!!

good luck with ur new barbell and balls hun!!
Reply:It's far too soon to change your jewelry. That's most likely why the studio wouldn't do it for you. After two weeks they should swap your initial jewelry for a shorter barbell, but that's it. Chances are they will want you to use their jewelry, not something you bring in (could be wrong size, material, not sure about the quality)

Wait at least 8 weeks before changing the jewelry on your own.
Reply:If you take your tongue ring out, change it immediately otherwise it will start closing.

If you get a shorter barbell, it should make things a whole lot more comfortable. You have more chance of biting a longer one.

I always insert the bar into the bottom of my tongue. It's easier to screw in the ball on top. It should not hurt at all.

Reply:I think any piercing besides the ears are nasty, and make a person look cheat just like a tatto does.
