Why won't people stand up for themselves?

I can work all year and have taxes taken out which is money that I need yet if you sit on your A$$ and have kids then you get back a couple of thousands. And welfare who created this biasis bullshit I mean really you encourage lazy individuals to be even lazier. Let's not forget the pre-existing condition clause the government madates on insurance claims...Well stop taking all my damn money..

Reply:Try standing up to any government agency, State or Federal and see how far you get. Has any one ever tried to sue either branch of government for the wrongs they are doing?? Bet you wont get anywhere. I personally think our government stinks big time. But my opinion and $1.00 may buy you a cup of coffee. The welfare system isn't working. You have 2nd and 3rd generations raised on welfare. You have healthy young people who refuse to work. Why? They will lose their free rent and if they have 3-4 children in the home, they lose their $300.00-$600.00 worth of food stamps. I work 2 jobs and I'm eaten up in taxes. Every year I have more taken out so I don't have to pay at the at tax time. So why don't people stand up themselves? It don't do any good?

Reply:Personally, I don't think we have a "corrupt" government. I think America is one of the greatest countries in the world and that's why so many people fight trying to come here. We are a diverse society and everyone has an opinion, belief, thought, etc., and fortunately for us all... even if it may not "jive" with what everyone else thinks; that's still cool. But's the the beauty of it... I know I certainly wouldn't want to live in a country where I'm BRAINWASHED into believing certain ways. I like that I can speak my mind, believe what I want and not have to worry about being run over by army tanks in my day to day living. So what if we ALL don't agree on everything... I'd rather have THIS government then any other one.
