Satisfied with DH epilogue, esp. the malfoy scenario?

What was your favorite part of the Deathly Hallows epilogue?

I like how James is like the man he was named after.

Also(this is actually for the whole book) how do you think Rowling handled the character of Draco Malfoy? I thought something had to have changed in Lightning Struck Tower, HBP, that he would be a much more important character, but he's not mentioned a lot.

and who do you think it was that he married? some random person?... pansy parkinson, maybe?;-)

i wasn't very thrilled with the epilogue. it was one of those happily ever after scenes which is not consistent with all the pain and suffering which has built up in the series.

my fav part would have to be when Harry told his son Albus Severus that he was named after one of the bravest men he ever knew (referring to Snape).

i don't know how to feel about Malfoy. while he isn't bad to the core (he could not bring himself to kill Dumbledore) i think he was just terrified the whole time about what Voldemort might do to him and his family if they stuffed up again. so he tried to stay out of the action a bit. but even after Harry saved his life after rescuing him from the Room of Requirement, Malfoy then went on to tell one of the Death Eaters "i'm Draco Malfoy, i'm on your side" in an attempt to save his skin and to not be killed in the battle.

i don't think he married Pansy, if he did it would have said in the epilogue that is was her (instead it just said Draco Malfoy and his wife). it was probably a witch he met later in his life after Voldemort was destroyed.
Reply:I wasn't all that happy with the DH epilogue.

I did find it interesting that Percy was yelling at kids on the platform, what in heavens name was he doing there? I wonder what kind of career he is following now.

I also which JKR had explained who Draco's wife was, i mean a pureblood obviously because Ron said Scorpio, or whatever his name is, is a pureblood, but still it would be nice to know what she looked like at least.

I wish we could have seen more of the others throughout the book.
Reply:I really just liked the whole epilogue. My favorite part was the scene with Harry and Albus when he is worried about being in Syltherin.

I kind of wished that Malfoy was in it a little more, but many of the characters that had frequented the book earlier are not in it. Neville, Ginny , or really any of the Weasleys (besides Ron) are in it very often.

I think that if he would have married Pansy Parkinson she would have mentioned it, so it was probably a new person.
