WHAT do you think of this statement.....?

I'm sick of this nation's pansy assed, love bead wearing liberal media delighted in reporting this weekend's sad spectacle of millions of hippie communists loitering on streets throughout the world to show their support for America-hating terrorists. While our boys in the armed services didn't give up their lives so these parasites of freedom could go around openly questioning our godly President. They'd all be speaking German right now it wasn't for us and then almost nobody on CNN could even read their silly signs in English. There were about 150,000 America-haters that walked by me with their stupid Osama-loving signs about peace and stuff.

WHAT do you think of this statement.....?
I'm sick of 'em, too, but, ironically enough, we're fighting for their freedom, too.

That they are Weak Sisters is not in doubt.

That they are confused and dazed is not in doubt.

That they are totally self-absorbed is not in doubt.

That they are living in a closed world of their own is not in doubt.

That they are anti-American is not in doubt.

That they are anti-military is not in doubt.

That they are anti-employer is not in doubt.

The only question regarding the vast majority of that crowd is whether or not they'll ever grow up. Most of the ones from the '60s finally did so there's still hope for them.
Reply:Utterances of a Neanderthal.
Reply:Hilarious.

If I were to take a snapshot of what Western Europeans think Americans are like, that would be it.
Reply:Wow, I think this person has VERY strong feelings about what is happening politically in the U.S. specifically. And I hope that they actually become educated about and are interested in knowing the truth rather than taking what they see in the media at face value. And i would also say that maybe they should enjoy the acts of freedom of speech of those people they don't agree with because where else could protests of the government happen without retribution? That's kind of the dilemma of the Gen-x generation right now, you know? We've grown up being taught to question authority and try to prevent war, but then do we let the U.S. be destroyed by people who truly hate it? I think that's what this person might be angry about. That and maybe they really need to cut down on caffeine.
Reply:Too bad that question goes agains the TOS of yahoo :-(
Reply:Whew! There is so much wrong with that rant that I think it gave me cancer!

Let me just hit the big points.

-the American mainstream media hasn't been liberal since I hit puberty (longer ago than I care to think about). If you really think that, you need to go and find an -actual- liberal media outlet (good luck) and get some perspective.

-Who's "us" that stopped Germany? Unless you are a WW2 vet, that may be the most retarded statement I've heard this year. And, as long as you brought up the topic of Nazis, the government this rant seems to be so fond of has a lot more in common with Hitler's Germany than the protestors do.

All that being said, you have the right to express your opinion, no mater how wrong headed. And so does everyone else.
Reply:Peace
Reply:I thank God I live in America where I am as entitled to my opinion as you are to yours.

The war in Iraq was entered under false pre-text. There never was any evidence that Osama Bin Laden was in Iraq, that WMD's were there.

I have NEVER been for the war as I think that there were many other options that a SMART president would have used before the drastic step of getting us into a war.

Is Saddam a good guy? No. Should someone have overthrown him? Maybe, but that's another debate. That is not the reason we were given for entering the war anyway.

If 911 was linked to Iraq, no one in America would even question the war. Most ppl would have volunteered to go... sort of like what happened in WWII after Japan bombed us. Comparing Iraq to WWII and specifically Germany is completely ignorant. Not the same thing at all.

Even if you don't agree with the protesters, you should be thankful that we still have freedom of speech (it's in the Constitution, remember) and the right to protest, not call the ppl that protest communists and un-American.
Reply:Wow. You're kind of nuts huh?
Reply:Hydie - you have a twisted view of the world in which we live.

In America, people have the right to peacefully protest against that which they think is wrong.

No one, but the British and French would be speaking German right now, and our President - while he claims to be "God-loving", is truly a moron with only a cause for chaos and turmoil during his tenure as President.

I am former military, I've done my duty in this country, and I love this country. What shames me is not the "hippies" carrying signs in protest of an unjust war - one which we cannot win - but what shames me is the manner in which this man (that the majority did NOT elect) represents our country. We are looked upon by the rest of teh world as idiots.

I can't wait for 2008!

Please, Hydie - open your eyes! Don't be a blind sheep of the Bush Administration and the NeoCons - think for yourself! It's against their will, but you must do this! Allow yourself to see what is really going on in this country right now - how divided we really are and the kind of trouble our President has brought upon us with his actions and his "War on Terror", and see through the madness that is spreading our troops thin thorughout the world in unwinable situations for unjust causes.
Reply:Is that Klome or Fliss?
Reply:I agree with you whole-heartedly with the exception of CNN. I also thought CNN was on a level with the enquirer but have done some reading %26amp; research and have changed my mind. They bash both parties; anyone that does not support middle-class Americans...wish the 3 major channels would do the same! That's what we need at this time seems the republicans support the rich, big business %26amp; illegals - the dems support the welfare people %26amp; the illegals....who's watching out for the middle-class?
Reply:Whatcha think about North Korea? Kim Jong Il? He's a freak....Depriving his people of basic needs while increasing his military.
Reply:Sometimes I wish avatars were naked.
Reply:I think it's just a lot of bullsh#t.
Reply:The phrase "they would be speaking German" should be outlawed.
