Quitting Wal Mart Question?

My family doesn’t want me to work at Wal Mart anymore. I work weekends and have been working there for two weeks. How do I go about quitting besides just walking out because that’s some pansy **** in my opinion.

Reply:Find the manager and tell him sir i need to talk to you in private. After, you are settled in tell him "sir, i want to thank you for this opportunity, (and thank him.) But, i need to stop working here for family reasons. I am very sorry for being so short noticed, but i appreciate the opportunity you gave me. Thank You very much.)

Reply:put in your two weeks notice, it would be the right thing to do but you'll have to suck it up for another two weeks.
Reply:do you like working there? if you do, who cares what yor family wants you to do. but if you want to quit the professional way, i would just give a 2 weeks notice and then say "peace"! i always try to give a 2 weeks notice. I have never been fired from a job and i've always left on good terms, i think any employer that i ever had would hire me back. Bascially cuz most of them have told me they would. lol.
Reply:WELL you could get fired like my cousin had the same problem he then used the carts to play bumbler cars would give people all the money in the cash register as there change would go into the womens bathroom and open 20 cans of tomato juice and last but not least go to the guns department ask to see the best gun they have and when checking it out ask where the anti depressants are and when you do all of that you will have the time of your life and it solves your problem

Reply:well the right thing to do is just go to your boss with a 2 week letter, stating that you will be quitting, but you need to give those 2 weeks so they can get a new employee to take your place.



good for your parents to forbid you from working in that SHlTHOLE! Wal-mart is an evil corporation.
Reply:Next time you work,simply walk up to your supervisor mention that you need to speak with him/her and then proceed by saying that the job just isnt right for you and thank them for the opportunity of working at that particular facility. Polite and to the point.

Reply:Have the guts to go to your manager and tender your resignation. If you leave on good terms, you'll be more likely to get a good recommendation, should you need it. But after only two weeks, they probably don't know you well enough to give you a recommendation.



By the way, do you want to quit? They pay all right, and if you get on enough hours, you can get bennies, right? And if you're willing to work hard, you can move up in the corporation.
Reply:umm, tell them you want to quit. or tell your family its your life so they have to suck it up. leaving for them because they want you to is pansy ****. but i don't know the whole story so im not going to assume thats the reason

Walking out isn't necessarily a pansy way to quit I might add, I got REALLY angry at one employer (it was a restaurant) who would cut me before I even got into WORK, so therefore I'd have to turn around and go right back home. Well the 4th time they did that to me I walked out the fire exit, set off the alarm on purpose and NEVER went back.

Reply:You have to go to your boss and tell them that you appreciate the opportunity of working there, but that the job just isn't working out for you. They may tell you that you can be done that day, but offer to work an extra two weeks if they need you to, because they'll have to find someone to replace you. You took the job, so I agree with you, be considerate enough to work until they can replace you.

Reply:The easiest way is to just explain to your boss that your family doesn't want you to work there. Beware of people trying to talk you out of quitting - It's horrible to listen to and they'll try and tell you it's the worst mistake you'll ever make. Ignore that ;D

You're a new employee, so you probably don't need to worry about it being very complicated. Most likely they'll just want their uniform back.
