Why do I cry when yelled at?
It's your inevitable hormones. If you don't want to cry, fight back those tears and act calm, if it's a bully or anything you think of a comeback. Don't worry, it sometimes happens to me as well.
Reply:What happens is that you "regress" to an earlier age when crying was an appropriate response. We all do this in certain situations.

My suggestion is to think of ways to feel less helpless and to-blame when someone yells at you.

For example, maybe that person is an idiot and you need to consider that. Maybe the person is immature and bratty, you can consider that, too. Or it's an adult in a crabby mood who's b****ing at people. IOW, how much of the yelling did you actually provoke by your behavior, and how much of it is due to the other person who can't control their urge to yell at people?
Reply:Wierd. Maybe thats just your personality or you had a bad expierence as a child. see a phsychiatrist to discuss your feelings.
Reply:It's a natural way of dealing with the stress of having another person mad at you. I used to do the same thing. Like one time I was messing with a friend of mine and he punched me. I cried, but not because it hurt or anything like that, I was just emotionally overwhelmed with what had happened. I was mad and I wanted to punch him back but he was my friend and I didn't want to hurt him our ruin our friendship. Don't view yourself badly just because you cry.
