Why is Maliki letting enemy militias and Muqtada Al-Sadr himself to influence his effectiveness as PM of Iraq?

Maybe Maliki should be replaced? He is certainly acting like an incompetent pansy.

Why is Maliki letting enemy militias and Muqtada Al-Sadr himself to influence his effectiveness as PM of Iraq?
it's like asking why Bush let's big oil and pharmaceutical companies influence his effectiveness as president...

because they can and they have a lot of power and money...
Reply:Because Al-Sadr has the power. Say it. Al-Sadr has the power. Go Muqtada!!!
Reply:Have you not noticed there is no army or police jumping into the fighting?
Reply:Who would you have him replaced by? The US? How would you like it if someone said that George W. is incompetent and the German Army overthrew the US government in order to "help us". It amazes that with a single breath you can even ask a question like that. It's up to the Iraqis to decide who the pansy is, not you or any other American. I see that double standards and hypocrisy are alive and well in the good old USA; we have religion and the totalitarian regime known as the US government to keep that alive and well in your feeble little mind.
Reply:"The fighting in Iraq involves dozens of militias and gangs. Among the major combatants: Al-Qaeda in Iraq...Badr Brigade...Mahdi Army...Mujahedin Shura Council...Peshmerga..." USA Today, Nov 30, 2006

In addition, to understand the complexity of Iraq, go to your local bookstore, buy Dec 4, Newsweek, "The Most Dangerous Man in Iraq." Also, there are a other shorter articles worth reading about regarding Iraq in this addtion. This will help you understand how difficult Iraq is and how we are caught in a Catch 22.
Reply:Steve J USA Is this about you!??
